Cat Boarding

1. Will I have to bring my cat's own food?

Our boarding rate includes meals which will be given three times throughout the day. We provide Artemis Fresh Mix Adult Cat Formula for adult cats and Blackwood Kitten for kittens. You may bring your cat's own food if you prefer although you will be charged the same rate. Please leave a note on your cat's diet when completing our booking form for our attention. If your cat is on a special diet or a veterinary prescribed formula, please bring it in for your cat's stay.

2. What else does my cat get when boarded at your center?

We will perform daily non-medical eye and ear cleaning, combing and brushing your cat with natural pet cologne and daily exercises.

Boarding rate

1. How much do you charge for your cat boarding service?

Our rate is RM13 per day per cat for the first five(5) days. The subsequent days will be charged RM 10 per day per cat. These rates cover for a cat and a cage only.

2. Can I get a discount if I have two cats and would like them to share the same cage?

We do not recommend sharing a space as this would make your cat stressed and uncomfortable. However we have a bigger cage for big-sized cats and the rate remains the same.

3. How do I book a place for my cat?

You may place your reservation online through our website. Simply log on to http://www.petknode.com.my/cat-boarding to start booking now.

4. I want to collect my cat two days earlier before the check-out date. Will I get the balance money back?

In the event of the owner returning before the check-out date, the balance of all fees is not refundable.

5. My cat needs to stay longer as my return is delayed.

In such cases, please inform us by phone or e-mail. Balance of the extra payment is paid upon collecting your cat.

Preliminary requirements

1. Is there any certain conditions that must be met in order to safeguard the health of my cat?

We require up-to-date flea & tick treatment and vaccination (should be treated at least 2 weeks before boarding) that protects against cat flu and feline infectious enteritis. You are required to present the related certificates upon checking in.

2. Do you accept kittens and what are the conditions that must be met?

We accept kittens whose age are 4 months and above only. We also require your kittens to have completed with three vaccinations. Please consult your vet for more information.

3. Do you accept cats that are in poor conditions?

All cats will be checked on arrival and cannot be admitted if showing signs of infectious disease or in a poor state of health.

4. My cat is getting parasite infection two days before boarding. Will you still accept?

Any cat observed to have a parasite infestation (worms, fleas etc) will be treated at the owner's cost.

5. My cat is on heat. Will you reconsider your boarding policy?

Boarding of intact female cats 'on heat' with disruptive 'calling' behaviour is discouraged.

6. What will you do to make sure that my cat is having his great time staying here?

On our part, all units and equipments are disinfected with controlled diluted antiseptics to ensure good hygiene. Also, for their own protection, boarding cats have no contact with outside animals or cats in other units. Please be informed that while we will take every care to safeguard the health and security of your cat, boarding is accepted at your own risk. A Signed Waiver of Liability is also required for your cat's stay at Petknode Cat Boarding facility.

7. Do you have your own vets in case my cat is unwell during his stay?

In the unlikely event that your cat becomes unwell during his stay and, in our opinion, requires veterinary attention then this will be arranged. We will refer to our regular vet or liaise with your cat's own vet (and your chosen local emergency contact person) if that is possible. This will be at the owner's cost.

8. My cat is still under pill medication. Will you administer his medication?

All medication must be labeled with the instructions from your Vet if need medical administer. If medical attention is needed we will take your pet either to his vet or an emergency veterinary office (if your vet is not available).

9. What will happen with the uncollected cats?

As we are cat lovers, we cannot keep every stray cat as we are still a business entity. If any cat is not collected two weeks after the agreed end of boarding and no contact has been received from the owner, we will send the cat to the owner's address. If the owner refuses to accept, we shall reserve the right to seek for legal advice for further actions. Please be informed that we strongly disagree with this irresponsible acts.

Pick-up & Return

1. Do you offer home pet sitter? I do prefer pet sitter as it is troublesome for me to bring my cats to your boarding facility.

Sorry, we do not offer home pet sitter. However, we can pick and return your cat at no additional cost. This service is available for certain areas in Klang Valley area only.

Viewing

1. I would like to come and visit your cat boarding center before I could make further decision.

We welcome anyone who is interested in viewing our boarding center first before making decisions on leaving the cat with us. To keep the privacy of our customers' cats at its best, we do not open our boarding center for public. Please make an appointment online with us should you need to visit our boarding center and you may send your viewing request from our website. Please be informed that our center is open for viewing only on weekends at certain hours and is strictly by online appointment.
